Research update: Catalyst for a Cure Vision Restoration Team

This December 2021 research update from the Catalyst for a Cure Vision Restoration Team highlights the consortium’s progress toward restoring vision lost from glaucoma. Funded by Glaucoma Research Foundation, the goal of the Catalyst for a Cure Vision Restoration Initiative is to better understand what specifically causes vision loss in glaucoma and then to identify targeted interventions for protecting and restoring the neurons responsible for vision. The Catalyst for a Cure investigators are Xin Duan, PhD, Yang Hu, MD, PhD, Anna La Torre, PhD, and Derek Welsbie, MD, PhD. The webinar, presented on December 7, 2021, was hosted and moderated by Thomas Brunner, President and CEO of the Glaucoma Research Foundation.
