2019 Summit Promising Research on the Horizon

“Promising Research on the Horizon – The Path to a Cure” is a stimulating and informative session about current research to find a cure for glaucoma. Speakers include Thomas M. Brunner (President and CEO, Glaucoma Research Foundation) and Yvonne Ou, MD (University of California, San Francisco). Topics include the Catalyst for a Cure Vision Restoration Initiative, Rewiring in the Retina, Axon Regeneration, Stem Cells, and Whole Eye Transplant. Hannah Eckstein, age 17 (congenital glaucoma patient), provides inspirational closing remarks about her experience with glaucoma and the need to support glaucoma research to find a cure.
